What is Vision INSIDE OUT?
For the past five years, writing has become an integral part of how I understand myself and make sense of the world. Paired with photography, it’s grown into something more, a quiet but powerful medium for personal exploration and growth.
Until now, I didn’t quite have the courage to share this side of my work in a meaningful way. But it finally feels like the right time to take that leap.
Vision Inside Out is the beginning of that new chapter.
Through this newsletter, once a month, I’ll share my creative philosophy, lessons I’ve learned through photography, stories from moments behind the camera, and insights from the creative community that have shaped the way I see and create.
Think of it as an invitation into a photographer’s mind. An exploration of not just how I capture the world, but how photography has transformed the way I experience it, both inside and out.
I’ll be sharing my thoughts through five core themes that reflect different parts of the creative process.
SEE explores the importance of paying attention, studying composition and learning from the work of other photographers and creative fields.
OBSERVE goes beyond the frame, exploring the stories behind an image and how through observation you can build an internal library of ideas and inspiration.
CREATE is where vision takes form, through choices around lenses, techniques like intentional camera movement or multiple exposure, along with exercises that can help you create more intentionally in the field.
PROCESS turns inward, focusing on journal entries and reflections that reveal how creativity shapes personal growth.
And finally, REFLECT looks at the bigger picture — long-term growth, shifts in mindset, and the importance of stepping into discomfort.
While this newsletter is rooted in photography, my hope is that both photographers and non-photographers find something of value in it. Photography has been my way of learning to live more intentionally, and the ideas naturally extend beyond the practice itself.
